    Recently, I saw an ad for a bank offering .85% interest on a minimum deposit of $10,000 for six months, less “fees and taxes”. The way the ad was written one would think that .85% was a great offering, which, of course, it is not. I would take a three percent interest on my deposit today, but there isn’t a bank in the country that offers more that 1% today.
