Was a student there from 1954 to 1957, when it was closed due school consolidation at which time we transferred to Corning. By this time only 2 rooms and occasionally the auditorium were in use. The two remaining teachers were Nina Davis and Beulah Criag. John “Zeke” Wargo was building custodian, but after closure the building was abandoned. FYI.

Memories, what would we do without them?

My siblings and I attended the Congo school from about 1933 through 1943. We were never aware of it including the high school. We always knew it as being 1 through 8. I was the youngest of 10 Bozman children. Some of my family worked in the Congo mine. My father, William Edward Bozman, was in an explosion at No. 9 mine in Corning in about 1927.
