Dishon General Store in McCuneville
DO-PH-1056
Building also served as the B&O Railroad Station and Post office. Business was started in the early 1870′s by James Alexander Dishon
who was born just north of McCuneville in 1840. About 1913 he turned over the business and the Post office to his son, Frank.
The store closed in 1951, when due to Frank’s age (70), the Post office forced him to retire.
The building was demolished about 1976.
